ASHA JAZZ When I look up and see the big blue sky I see beyond. I abscond. Through, above, higher, exceeding. I keep on proceeding. Because I don’t care what people are feeling thinking or believing, about me. Me to you is 'her' or 'she'. I was put here to achieve. I have chosen to succeed in everything I do. Not because of what I am, but because of who. I was a published poet at sixteen. I didn’t just read and write words, I read in between. From the age of six I played my six strings from my heart. With my pen and paper I shall never part. Words can pierce the soul so I don’t abuse them. Words are a sensitive tool so I need to use them. Words are wisdom so I don’t confuse them. I’m often misjudged and people don’t have a clue. They think I'm some young ting who doesn’t know nothing. In fact I wrote this aged of twenty-two. I’ve got letters after my name and I’ve been around in this game. I’ve felt, I've heard and I've seen. But don’t get me wrong I’m not squeaky clean. I love to laugh and smile, but I’m not afraid to cry. I’ll stand and I’ll perform but deep down I’m quite shy. If I lost my faith I’d lose my mind. This little Asha you see would be hard to find Asha means life and that’s what I've got to give The meaning of life is to live. PEACE!
